SUNDEK of San Antonio crews resurfaced 1,500 square feet of concrete sidewalk in downtown San Antonio as part of a large capital improvement program.At SUNDEK’s Convention in early February, SUNDEK of San Antonio was awarded the Project of the Year for 2024. This massive project involved resurfacing more than 25,000 square feet of sidewalk for the City of San Antonio.
Contact Sundek of San AntonioThe project came about when the City of San Antonio embarked on a 6-year capital improvement program in which they planned to make major improvements throughout the city. One of the many projects on their list was to improve sidewalks along Commerce Street (North Main and Soledad), which is essentially the main vein that runs through the city.
Craig Roohan, General Manager of SUNDEK of San Antonio, and his crew came up with a custom, three-color aggregate effect on Classic Texture that would match what the city requested. Throughout the completion of the project, crews encountered many hurdles, including how to complete the job while maintaining a safe and clean space for residents and visitors passing the site.
In addition to repairing damaged spots, installing a durable and long-lasting coating that’ll serve the city for years to come, and maintaining an impeccable workspace, SUNDEK of San Antonio was able to make the sidewalks look beautiful, too.
