We Revive Existing Surfaces
SUNDEK revitalizes spaces by combining innovative design with expert craftsmanship. A perfect example of this is shown through SUNDEK of Washington’s work on the Buckroe Beach Boardwalk. After the city’s beloved pier was destroyed by Hurricane Isabela, they wanted to revive it and contacted SUNDEK to discuss solutions.
After sharing ideas, SUNDEK of Washington completed live on-site demonstrations, creating samples that the community voted on, choosing their favorites. In the end, SUNDEK installed nearly 117,000 square feet of decorative overlays on Buckroe boardwalk’s horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces, creating a gorgeous space for the community to enjoy. When tasked with creating a basketball court-themed outdoor space for Wayne State University, SUNDEK Commercial Contracting combined custom textures, colors, and finishes to mimic the look of hardwood flooring complete with detailed striping, recessed lighting, and a central logo. Despite delays and design adjustments, SUNDEK’s team worked tirelessly to refine and execute it perfectly, delivering the project ahead of schedule. Despite the immense scale, compressed schedule, and last-minute design changes, SUNDEK’s crew stayed organized, coordinated seamlessly with other trades, and worked nonstop to complete 78,000 square feet in just two weeks. SUNDEK can transform just about anything into something beautiful and functional—even small frisbee golf pads. For a frisbee golf course in Sugar Land, Texas, SUNDEK of Houston delivered decorative, durable, and non-slip surfaces for 18 pads, each featuring a custom brick-patterned border and finished with a protective, non-slip sealer to ensure durability.

For this project, ATD Concrete Coatings—an authorized SUNDEK installer—achieved a European terracotta look using SunAcid stain. Meticulous coordination and careful preparation resulted in a striking façade that stands out in the heart of Dallas.

SUNDEK takes immense pride in preserving and enhancing clients’ properties, as shown in SUNDEK of Pennsylvania’s work at the historic Ashcombe Mansion in Pennsylvania. To align with the venue’s elegance and history, SUNDEK used their Classic Texture coating to create a ballroom floor that mirrored the mansion’s interior checkered design while ensuring it was durable, slip-resistant, and easy to maintain for the thousands of guests it hosts annually. For the adjacent Grand Terrace, SUNDEK suggested a complementary geometric striping pattern, creating a cohesive yet distinct indoor-outdoor aesthetic.
The project required meticulous attention to detail, especially for the precise alignment of straight lines, demonstrating SUNDEK’s dedication to quality. By combining artistry, functionality, and care, SUNDEK delivered a stunning transformation that preserves the property’s charm while meeting modern needs.
